UPDATE: Fort Campbell Explosive Technicians have removed the explosive devices and roadway is now open and safe to travel.

TRAFFIC ALERT
An old military explosive device has been discovered at Phillips Auto Salvage. Out of an abundance of caution Hwy 431 will be closed between Hwy 250 and Hwy 1080 possibly for the next 4 hours. Explosive Technicians from Owensboro and Ft. Campbell are en route.
The potential blast radius of the device does NOT require any homes to be evacuated.

SCAM ALERT: There are phone calls circulating using masked local numbers claiming to be law enforcement demanding payment of fines for warrants or missed jury summons.
True government institutions do not call you to receive these type of payments. Do Not give any accounting information to these scammers.

By the grace of God our County, for the most part, was once again protected during such severe storms.

Last night, our emergency services, state and local road crews, volunteers and linemen from power utilities answered the call to respond. Thank you to everyone.

If you see one of them, a simple thank you will help show appreciation. I am grateful and thankful.
