Gordon County families, we have bus registration survey forms to fill out for the following students:

* New students enrolling to the school district for the first time
* Families who have recently moved residences within our school district
* 2026-2027 Pre-K student

If your child needs transportation this fall and is new, recently moved, or enrolling into Pre-K, please take a moment to fill out our survey to help the Transportation Department prepare for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

It's important that you carefully read and agree to the policies and procedures outlined in the survey regarding bus transportation. Please note that rising Pre-K students have a different survey than Kindergarten - 12th grade students.

I can hardly believe that tomorrow will be our last day of school. This year has flown by. Just a reminder that tomorrow will be an early release day for students. Elementary students will dismiss at 11:30.
I struggle to find words to fully express my gratitude for having had the opportunity to work alongside my Red Bud family for 10 incredible years as your principal. It is hard to put into words what this school family has meant to me. I have had the privilege of watching your children learn, grow, overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and become amazing young people. I have built relationships with my teachers and parents that I will always cherish. Every moment has been a gift. I want to say a special thank you for every kind word you have shared with me and every sweet gift. It has meant so much to me.
People often think a school is made of classrooms and hallways, but what truly makes a school special is the people inside it. The children, families, teachers, and staff who love and support one another. Thank you for trusting me with your children, for your kindness, your encouragement, and for allowing me to be part of so many important moments in their lives.
As I retire, I leave with a heart that is incredibly full. While this chapter is ending, the memories, relationships, and love I have for my Red Bud Elementary family will stay with me forever. To all of our students, I want to remind you; please keep being kind, working hard, and believing in yourselves. I will always be cheering you on.
Thank you for making these 10 years some of the best years of my life. I will miss you all more than words can say. Once a Cardinal, ALWAYS a Cardinal.
Much love,
Debra

Starbooks day was such a treat! ☕️
Mrs. Peterka, Ms. Gazaway, & Ms. Knight participated in this fun activity.
They learned how to count money, practiced cafe elapsed time, added up order totals and designed their own lattes! Students developed the love of reading while completing book reviews 📕 Students even got to take home their own books, so look out for those!

We are excited about our upcoming Red Bud Elementary Field Day! This fun-filled event will take place on Thursday, May 14th, and we can’t wait to see our students, families, and staff come together for a day of games, activities, and community spirit.
Attached you will find a Field Day map and a Field Day schedule to help you navigate the day’s events. Please review these documents to plan your participation and ensure your child is prepared for a day of outdoor fun. We recommend comfortable clothing, sneakers, sunscreen, a towel, and a water bottle.
As always, safety is our number one concern. Please plan to begin your day by checking in with the staff members that will be located at the front of the school. This is where you will be given a sticker to wear throughout the day. We will be using the forms that parents returned to the school identifying the visitors that have permission to attend this event.
During the lunch break, several food trucks will be on-site, offering a variety of delicious options for you and your family to enjoy. Cash and card payments will be accepted. Kona Ice will also be available at the water games for students to purchase with prices starting at $3. In addition, PTO will be selling pizza. During the lunch break, parents may also choose to have lunch in the cafeteria with students however, parents will not be allowed to visit classrooms during the lunch break. No student will be allowed to visit the food trucks without a parent. Additionally, if you would like to have your child join you at the food trucks, please be sure to sign them out with their teachers.
We look forward to seeing you there and making this a memorable day for our students! Go Cardinals!!
