On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we recognize the courage, dedication, and selfless service of those who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their commitment to public safety will never be forgotten.

🔥 Burn Ban Begins May 1 🔥
City of Calhoun Fire Department

The City of Calhoun Fire Department is reminding all residents that the seasonal burn ban will go into effect on May 1. This ban applies to all outdoor burning within the city limits, including yard debris, leaf piles, and other open flames.

This annual restriction helps reduce the risk of wildfires and protects air quality as temperatures rise.

What this means for residents:

No outdoor burning of any kind

Use approved disposal methods for yard waste

Report any unauthorized burning to the City of Calhoun Fire Department

Your cooperation helps keep our community safe and protects our homes, property, and first responders.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE — BBQ & BOOGIE
To prepare for this year’s BBQ & Boogie event and ensure a safe environment for all attendees, several streets in downtown Calhoun will be temporarily closed starting Friday, April 24 at 12 PM.

The following roads will be affected:

N Park Ave

Oothcalooga St

Please plan ahead, expect delays, and follow posted detours when traveling near the event area. Your cooperation helps us keep the community safe throughout the festivities.
