108th Memorial Project Memorial Wall Page I know all of us are thankful for the memories that we have of each and every one of them.

This memorial will be in remembrance of all Soldiers who have served in the 1-108th and have died in combat during the Global War on Terrorism. May this memorial remind us every day of the great Soldiers with who we served. Thank you for being a part of our project and for making this possible. When a Soldier dies in combat, many people are affected by the tragic loss of a friend, loved one or a c

omrade. There are no words that can make that loss seem any easier. Sometimes only time can make your heart hurt a little less. But regardless, that hole will always be there and that Soldier will always be missed. On behalf of all the Soldiers in the 1-108th Cavalry, Georgia Army National Guard, we would like to remember our fallen Soldiers of the unit by inscribing their names on our "Fallen Soldiers Memorial" that is planned to be built in front of the Calhoun Armory. With this project, we are looking for donations to help make this happen. The memorial foundation is registered as an IRS 501(c) charitable organization so any donation over $250.00 is deductible per IRS regulations. We ask your help in purchasing a brick or a donation to make this memorial possible. Please pass this information on to anyone or any businesses that you feel would contribute. These bricks can be personalized for individuals (military or civilian) or for a business for $50 each. For mailing donations:

Please remember the men who served with the 1st Battalion 108th Armor, Troop E 108th Cavalry and 1st Squadron 108th Cavalry (Georgia Army National Guard), who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today we honor these men and the families, friends and fellow Soldiers who will never forget them.
