Calico Rock Library

Calico Rock Library We are a small rural public library in Izard County, Arkansas. In 1962 the library was moved to a new building on Main Street.

The Calico Rock Library, under the authority of the Izard County Library Board, has been a member of the White River Regional Library system since March 1959. The library first opened on May 9, 1959 in the upstairs portion of the State Bank Building on Main Street. The move to our current location occurred in 1975. Remodeling and expansion in 1997 increased our space from about 1,000 to 4,000 squa

re feet. Funding for the library comes from the one-mill county wide tax plus funding form the City of Calico Rock. The Calico Rock Library is one of three libraries located in and funded by Izard County.
