Hello, Parents, Guardians, Community Members, and Students!

We are excited to reintroduce Pinto Pride for the 2026–2027 school year! Pinto Pride is a monthly staff recognition program designed to celebrate the incredible people who make California R-1 such a great place to learn and work.

Each month, students, parents, guardians, community members, and staff have the opportunity to nominate a staff member who goes above and beyond and truly demonstrates Pinto Pride.

New This Year!
We are excited to recognize two winners each month:
One Certified Staff (Teacher) Winner
One Support Staff Winner

Each winner will receive a basket filled with goodies donated by our amazing community sponsors, exclusive Pinto Pride items, recognition through district communications, and the opportunity to display our traveling Pinto Pride Trophy in their classroom or workspace.

Students, We Want to Hear From You!

One of our favorite parts of Pinto Pride is seeing nominations from our students! Students in ALL grade levels are encouraged to participate.

Please take a moment to nominate the staff member you feel goes above and beyond and deserves to be recognized. A kind word can mean so much, and we want to hear about the staff members who make a difference in the lives of our students and our school community.

Did you know that many of our California R-1 staff members are also California High School alumni?!

How awesome is it to see our graduates come back home and choose to work in the district that helped shape them? We love having familiar faces in our buildings and watching students grow, graduate, become amazing leaders, and eventually return to give back to the next generation of Pintos.

There’s something pretty special about seeing our Pinto family come full circle! 💙
