Callaway Volunteer Fire and Rescue Volunteer Rural Fire and Rescue Department Callaway Fire and Rescue has a total of 35 members consisting of both men and women.

We all work extremely hard to make sure our community gets the best care available and prompt response to their emergencies!!!!!

Pressey Fire Update – Custer County
Supporting state agencies have been released, and the fire response will now be managed by local fire departments.

All agencies and fire departments would like to thank the communities and local businesses in and around Custer County for their incredible support and donations. Right now, crews have everything they need in terms of food and drinks, so no additional donations are necessary.

Today the Callaway Volunteer Fire and EMS Dept. trained along side with Callaway Public School staff and teachers, the Custer County Sheriffs Dept, the Custer County Emergency Manager and the Central Nebraska Special Repsonse Teams. This training involved the testing of an emergency response plan to help with dangers in a crisis situation. We want to thank everyone that helped or was Involved with the special training.

Great explanation from Syracuse Rescue Service. These same things apply to Callaway Rescue and many rural volunteer EMS services. Nobody starts out confident. Most of us just start with questions and a willingness to help. 🚑
