Callery Volunteers assisted the Adams Area Fire with an outside fire at Mars Lanes in Mars Borough. Engines 19-1 and 19-2 responded with 12 members, while four personnel remained at the station to provide coverage. Great teamwork by all involved!

19/20 Joint Training Evans City Area VFD

May Topic – Multi-Part Physical Rescue

Crews from 19/20 came together last evening to train together again. Crews used What3Words to locate a victim, establish command and operations, rescue the patient using a 3:1 system, work on patient packaging, and practice UTV operations as well.

A total of 28 members from both companies were in attendance.

Working Fire

Today around noon, SAFER 90 was alerted on the first alarm to assist Station 22 with a working fire.

Callery responded with Engine-1 (W3), Squad (W1+1), and IC-1 (W1), along with two additional personnel in station.

Engine 19 arrived and assumed second-due engine responsibilities, securing a water supply. Callery volunteers hooked up with and operated off Ladder 22 using a 1 3/4” line for fire attack and extensive overhaul of the slate roof.

The original hydrant secured by Engine 19 was found to be dead. Tank water from Engine 19, Engine 20, Engine 24, and Tanker 24 relay-pumped to Engine 21-2, which supplied the attack line for the Charlie-side roof crew. .
