Community Cooking Sundays
May 17, 2026 - September 13, 2026
All classes are free and held on Sundays from 3:00–6:00 PM.

Led by Chef and Instructor Dayna Halprin, these hands-on classes are a great opportunity to build confidence in the kitchen. Participants will learn how to create a grocery list, shop for ingredients, and successfully execute a recipe from start to finish.

Registration is required, and space is limited. We encourage all community members to sign up and be part of this fun and educational experience! If you are unable to attend after registering, please cancel your spot so someone on the waitlist can participate.

Please note these are not children specific classes. Classes have been designed with the idea of parents bringing their children ages 12 and up. Don't have kids? No problem! We encourage adults to join too. Our doors are open to those interested in participating.



The Kids' Class is designed specifically with kids in mind. Registration is recommended for children ages 8+ with an accompanying adult. This is not a drop off event.

Owner Dania LaScola has created a welcoming and inclusive space where locals and visitors can source healthy, ethically produced foods at affordable prices while supporting a more sustainable way of living.

With an emphasis on reducing packaging waste, the Pantry offers a large selection of bulk goods alongside local produce, dairy products from nearby farms, and grab-and-go offerings made in-house by Early Bird Cookery.

✨Throughout the year, The Pantry hosts events that reflect those values, such as seasonal Bulk Refill ‘Happy Hour’, community clothing swaps, ‘Flowers for Good’ pop-ups w/ Earthgirl Flowers to help support Sullivan Allies Leading Together / S.A.L.T. Cares, & many other community-centered gatherings. 💐👗💗

✨The Pantry’s commitment to community care extends far beyond the storefront. Beginning in 2020, the Callicoon Pantry, in partnership with ENGN Early Bird Cookery & S.A.L.T. Cares began delivering prepped meals, fresh produce, & bulk grains to our community’s most vulnerable neighbors -a commitment that continues today. ❤️
