Three organizations.

One clear vote of confidence.

Today, I am incredibly honored to announce that I have received the sole endorsement of the Island County Democrats for Island County Commissioner, District 3.

With this endorsement, I have now earned the support of the 10th Legislative District Democrats, Island County Democrats, and Indivisible Whidbey, making me the only candidate in the Island County Commissioner District 3 race endorsed by any of these three organizations.

That is a responsibility I don't take lightly.

Three independent organizations reviewed the candidates, asked tough questions, and reached the same conclusion. That is an incredible honor, and one I will never take for granted.

To me, these endorsements represent something much bigger than campaign milestones. They represent trust. They represent years of service, relationships built within our community, and a shared belief that leadership starts by showing up, listening, and doing the work.

I'm grateful to every member of these organizations who took the time to read the questionnaires, attend the interviews, ask thoughtful questions, and place their confidence in me. Earning your trust is one of the greatest honors of my public service.

This campaign has never been about titles or politics. It's about building a county where government works for everyone, where people feel heard, and where decisions are made with integrity, transparency, and compassion.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in this campaign from the very beginning. Every volunteer, every donor, every person who has knocked a door, made a phone call, put up a sign, or simply encouraged me along the way, you are the reason this campaign continues to grow.

We're building something special together, and I'm excited for what comes next.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Last night was another great reminder of exactly why I'm running.

My absolute favorite part of this campaign is sitting down with people, listening, answering questions, and having real conversations about what matters to our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared your ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and trusted me with your concerns. Those conversations matter. They help shape better solutions, stronger policies, and better leadership.

Government shouldn't be something that happens to our community. It should be something we build with our community.

That's the kind of commissioner I want to be: someone who listens first, welcomes different perspectives, and believes the best ideas can come from anywhere.

Thank you for spending your evening with me. I left inspired, energized, and even more excited about the work ahead.

Let's keep the conversation going. ❀️

Today is one of the most meaningful days of my campaign.

I am deeply honored and incredibly grateful to receive the sole endorsement of the 10th Legislative District Democrats for Island County Commissioner, District 3.

This endorsement means so much to me because this is where my political journey began.

The people of the 10th Legislative District believed in me long before I ever decided to run for office. You welcomed me, challenged me, mentored me, trusted me with leadership, and gave me opportunities to grow. Together, we've organized, knocked doors, helped shape policy, trained new leaders, fought for our values, and worked to build a stronger Democratic Party.

Last night's vote wasn't just an endorsement of a campaign. To me, it was a reminder that the years of showing up, listening, serving, and doing the work have mattered.

I can't begin to express what it means to have the confidence of so many people I respect and admire. Your belief in me is something I will never take for granted.

Thank you to every member of the 10th Legislative District who placed your trust in me. I will continue to work as hard as I know how, with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to putting people first.

This campaign has always been bigger than one person. It's about building a community where everyone has a voice, where public service is rooted in integrity, and where people know their leaders will show up, listen, and do the work.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. ❀️

My Commitment to Transparency, Honesty, Compassion and the People of Island County

I wasn't planning to address this, but since it's starting to spread beyond a small corner of social media, I think it's important to say something.

Over the last few days, anonymous accounts have been sharing records from my teenage years and old legal documents involving my family in an attempt to paint a picture of who I am.

Here's the truth.

I've never hidden my past. In fact, I've talked about it openly for years. If someone wants to know about my past, they don't have to ask an anonymous account, they can ask me.

As a teenager, I was what they used to call an β€˜at-risk kid’. I made mistakes. I had court involvement. I've shared those experiences publicly because they're part of my story, and because they shaped the work I do today. I've spoken about the barriers I faced, the lessons I learned, and how those experiences gave me a deep understanding of how our systems affect young people and families.

I'm not ashamed of where I came from. I'm proud of the life I've built.

For more than 30 years, I've worked to serve my community, advocate for others, and help people who are facing many of the same challenges I once faced. If anything, my past reminds me every day that people deserve the chance to grow, to be heard, and to build a better future.

The other documents being shared involve deeply personal family matters from many years ago. Out of respect for my family, I won't use them as political talking points, and I won't relive those painful moments in public. Even if it has a negative impact on me. Some things are simply bigger than politics.

I've always believed that leadership isn't about pretending you've never stumbled. It's about taking responsibility, learning, growing, and choosing every day to serve something bigger than yourself.

This campaign has always been about the future of Island County. It's about making government more accessible, supporting working families, protecting our environment, strengthening our local economy, and making sure people feel seen, heard, and represented.

Anonymous attacks won't change why I'm running, and they won't distract me from the work ahead.

I trust the people of Island County to judge me by the life I've built, the work I've done, and the person I am today.

To everyone who has reached out with kindness, encouragement, and support, thank you. It means more than you know. I'm going to keep doing what I've always done: showing up, listening, working hard, and fighting for the community I love.

In Solidarity,
Satin Arnett
