Join us for the inaugural Fatherhood Summit, a collaborative effort between First 5 Ventura, Ventura County Department of Child Support Services, Hope & Comfort, and Rio School District. This free event is on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 6 pm at Rio Del Valle School, located at 3100 N Rose Ave, Oxnard, and is a day dedicated to helping fathers be the best they can be.

We look forward to spending a day with fathers and father figures in our community, giving them an opportunity to attend fatherhood workshops, explore employment opportunities, and learn about the resources in our county. Workshops will be offered in English, Spanish, and Mixteco. Free childcare and dinner will be provided to ensure all fathers can participate. Whether you're interested in the workshops, job fair, resources, or simply networking, all are welcome. However, we highly encourage you to
join us for the entire event.

Únete a nosotros para la Cumbre Inaugural de la Paternidad, un esfuerzo colaborativo entre First 5 Ventura County, el Departamento de Servicios de Manutención de Menores del Condado de Ventura, Hope y Comfort y el Distrito Escolar de Río. Este evento gratuito es el sábado 1 de junio de 2024, de 1:30 p. m. a 6 p. m. en la escuela Rio Del Valle, ubicada en 3100 N Rose Ave, Oxnard, para un día dedicado a ayudar a los papás ser lo mejor que pueden ser.

Esperamos pasar un día con los papás de nuestra comunidad, brindándoles la oportunidad de asistir a talleres de paternidad, explorar oportunidades laborales y conocer los recursos en nuestro condado. Se ofrecerán talleres en inglés, español y mixteco. También ofreceremos cuidado de niños y cena gratis para garantizar que todos los papás puedan participar. Ya sea que estés interesado en los talleres, la feria de empleo, los recursos o simplemente en hacer contactos, todos son bienvenidos. 🌟 We had a fantastic turnout at the VCOE Migrant Education Program Region 17 Annual Family Conference and Outreach and Engagement event on Feb. 10th at Fillmore Middle School! 🌟

With 140 participants, families had the opportunity to engage in workshops covering a range of important topics. From Ventura County Public Health to Ventura County Human Services Farmer Worker Resources Program, NAMI, Padres Líderes de OUHSD, and 805 Advocates EL Roadmap, there was something for everyone.

A big thank you to all our partners and participants for making this event a success! Together, we're building stronger communities. 💪 🎉👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

🌟 ¡Tuvimos una participación fantástica en la Conferencia Anual de Familias y Evento de Participación y Alcance del Programa de Educación Migrante de VCOE Región 17 el 10 de febrero en la Escuela Secundaria Fillmore! 🌟

Con 140 participantes, las familias tuvieron la oportunidad de participar en talleres que abordaron una variedad de temas importantes. Desde el Departamento de Salud Pública del Condado de Ventura hasta el Programa de Recursos para Trabajadores Agrícolas del Condado de Ventura, NAMI, Padres Líderes de OUHSD y 805 Advocates EL Roadmap, ¡había algo para todos!
