The farmworker movement was built on a simple belief: the people who work to feed this nation deserve fairness, dignity, and respect. This day honors the many activists whose collective bravery changed what was possible for workers everywhere. Their legacy lives on today. 🌾 Happy Farmworkers Day!

We are GOOD. We are PRETTI.

Thank you to everyone who turned out in Ventura, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley to stand in solidarity with Minneapolis and to condemn the actions of ICE.

Today we honor Renee Good and Alex Pretti of Minnesota, and remember Jaime Alanís Garcia, a Ventura County farmworker who died as a result of these ridiculous, violent, illegal and chaotic immigration raids being executed by the Trump Administration.

To everyone who marched, spoke up, shared space, and refused to be silent today, thank you. Our collective presence matters.

🔥 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH🔥
This morning ICE agents killed 37-year old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse, in Minneapolis. This is the latest in a pattern of violence and federal lawlessness.

ICE has been operating in and around Ventura County terrorizing immigrants and our communities for far too long. Now we take it to the streets. ✊🏽

📣 Join these organizations tomorrow at your preferred Ventura County location to stand up against ICE brutality, demand accountability, and fight for justice for Alex Pretti and all of our loved ones harmed by reckless ICE operations.

“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Dr. King didn’t just dream of a better world; he built it through action and service. This MLK Jr. Day, let’s honor his legacy by serving our community, fighting for justice, and building a future where opportunity is within reach for everyone.

🗣️ We protest against ICE, against the takeover of other countries, and against the Trump administration because we care deeply about a strong, thriving democracy.

People ask, “Do you think anyone’s paying attention?”
The answer is yes.

Some days the crowds are big. Other days it’s a smaller group of deeply committed neighbors. Both matter.

Because while we raise our voices, we’re also building community… and democracy only works when we keep showing up for each other. ✊💙

From Santa Barbara to the state Capitol: this is what progress looks like. 💙✨🙌✊

Vice President administered the oath of office to Monique Limón, marking a historic first as she steps into her role as the first female, first Latina and first mom to hold the office of California Senate President pro Tempore.

VP surprised the crowd at Santa Barbara Junior High School and said she “had to be here” to celebrate a leader who champions visibility and representation for all.

Women leading. Communities represented. History made. ✨

📣 A U.S. citizen was shot during an encounter with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement while driving away.
She was not in custody. This is not justice.
This is state violence enabled by reckless leadership.

We’re proud of you, California State Senate President Pro Tempore 👏✊💙

Repost from

Today marks an exciting moment in California history. California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks and Democratic leaders were proud to stand alongside Senator Monique Limón today as she was sworn in as President pro Tempore of the California State Senate.

Pro Tem Limón is the first woman of color, first Latina and first mom to lead the State Senate, and represents the very best of California leadership. We remain committed to working together to deliver real progress for every Californian.
