CALLING ALL WILDLIFE LOVERS. There is an important hearing tomorrow (Jan 30th) at the Government Center concerning whether to implement a wildlife corridor zone to help ensure the survival of our wildlife by protecting the major wildlife corridors that connect the Santa Monica Mountains with the Simi Hills and Los Padres Forest. It will allow for safe passage and genetic diversity which is critical for survival. There is a group (CoLAB) that is opposing this plan. It is expected that they will be there in force, so it is important that the Planning Commission hear from people in favor of it. The hearing is tomorrow Thursday Jan 31, at 8:30am in the Hearing Room of the Board of Supervisors County Government Center, Hall of Administration 800 South Victoria Ave or you can send an emal to: [email protected], For more information https://www.soarvc.org/new-wildlife-corridor/…

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors is moving on a first-of-its-kind wildlife corridor zoning aimed at keeping the open space corridors between the mountains traversable by wildlife.
