Working together. Today members from the Army 425th civil affairs battalion came by to see how we can better serve the public during natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and mass casualty incidents. They learned about our operations and capabilities during these types of responses and how they can help and assist us during these incidents.

Members of Fire station 54 were recently deployed to Montecito to help and assist with the recent mud flow. They were assigned to a regional task force made up of members from Ventura county, oxnard and Ventura City.

The ladder truck responds to numerous types of calls from house fires, vehicles accidents, technical rescues and medical calls. The Past week a few public service calls have required the ladder truck to rescue a cat in a tree and a drone stuck in a palm tree.
