We welcome and support our community engaging with our district and schools through social media. Just like we teach our students, we encourage everyone to be civil, constructive, respectful, and responsible when posting to social media. The follo

wing are types of content that are not allowed on Camas School District social media sites:

-Comments, posts, or replies that are out of context and/or not related to the topic at hand;
-Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns, candidates, ballot measures, or pending legislation;
-Sexual content or links to sexual content;
-Commercial advertisements or solicitations;
-Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination;
-Language or content that is profane, vulgar, abusive, denigrating, harassing, intimidating, or bullying in nature;
-Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;
-Content that endangers safety or security of the public or public systems, violates the privacy rights of individuals, or infringes on legal ownership interests of any other party;
-Content that violates Camas School District policy regarding the acceptable use of electronic resources. Please note that the comments and responses made or expressed by others on any social media platform do not reflect the opinion or position of the Camas School District or our staff.

More than 170 Camas High School Choir students recently took the stage at Revolution Hall in Portland to premiere Origins/Origens, an original Brazilian-inspired musical collaboration created with professional musician and composer Elisabeth “Lizzy” Ellison.

Under the direction of CHS Choir Director Ethan Chessin, students helped write lyrics, shape musical ideas, and prepare for a live professional performance and recording experience. 🎶

Ten Camas High School students recently traveled to Olympia to participate in the 79th annual YMCA Youth and Government program at the Capitol!
Students joined peers from across Washington in a mock legislative session focused on civic engagement, leadership, collaboration, and public speaking. CHS students made up the entire Clark County delegation, which earned the Outstanding Delegation Award in its first year! 🏛️
Last week, students shared their experience researching, writing, and presenting bills with the Camas School District Legislative Advisory Committee.

🏆 Another state title for Camas High School Esports!

The Camas High School Esports team capped off an incredible season by winning the Washington state championship in Overwatch after an undefeated run at the state tournament in Seattle.

Congratulations to Bryce Goertzen, Jake Moscatelli, Gavin Reyes, Maxi Kari, and Brady Kohler on an outstanding championship performance built on teamwork, communication, and resilience. This also marks a second state title this school year for Bryce, Jake, and Gavin, who were members of the Papermakers’ championship Valorant team this past fall.

Students in the Advanced Woods class at Discovery High School are getting hands-on construction experience by building a second on-site storage shed for their program! 🔨

The first student-built shed is already being used to store wood for the annual fifth-grade toolbox project. This new shed will provide additional space for tools and equipment. Under the guidance of Mr. Cavill, students are building real-world skills in construction, teamwork, problem-solving, and craftsmanship.

Have you heard of our Buddy Benches? The Rotary Club of Camas-Washougal partnered with 988 Lifeline to install eight public “buddy benches” at schools in Camas and Washougal to encourage discussions about mental health. Thank you to the Rotary Club for taking on this important project!
