8/14/2026 Letter from the General Manager

Dear Cambrians,

We are pleased to announce that funding shortfall for the Cambria Skatepark Project is now no more. This important milestone was made possible through the generous support of an anonymous donor and the Cambria Community Council, which is providing the funding necessary to cover the project’s 15 percent construction contingency. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to Cambria’s youth and the broader community. The funds have been transferred to the Cambria Community Services District, and the CCSD Board of Directors has approved the construction agreement with Newton Construction. With funding secured and the agreement approved, the project will now move into the construction phase.

Newton Construction is expected to begin mobilizing on September 21, 2026, with a groundbreaking anticipated during the week of September 28.

This project has been years in the making and reflects the dedication, generosity, and persistence of many community members and organizations.

Cambria Fire’s Water Tender 57 is currently deployed as part of Task Force 1474, assisting with wildfire suppression efforts on the Gann Fire.

Please join us in wishing our firefighters a safe deployment. We are proud to have them representing Cambria and supporting our neighboring communities wherever they are needed.

While WT57 is assigned to the incident, Cambria Fire remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies throughout the Cambria Community Services District.

7/7/2026: CCSD Water Department Performing Emergency Leak Repairs on Langton Street

The CCSD Water Department is performing emergency leak repairs on the 2500 block of Langton Street. Two services may be impacted. Traffic control measures are in place, so please drive slowly through the construction zone and be aware of personnel working in the area. For your safety and the safety of our workers, we kindly ask you to:

- Follow Traffic Signs and Directions: Pay attention to and follow all traffic control signs and signals in the area.
- Watch for Workers: Be vigilant and watch out for our workers who will be on-site. Please slow down and drive carefully near the work zones.
