A Blizzard Warning is now in effect for all of southern Wisconsin until 4 PM CDT Monday afternoon. A period of blizzard conditions are expected later tonight into early Monday morning. Heavy snowfall rates to 1 inch per hour at times, with north to northwest wind gusts to 40 to 45 MPH, will bring visibility down to one quarter mile or less. Treacherous travel conditions are expected! Stay off the roads!

WOW!! What a night it was last night!! Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!! Thank you to everyone who joined us last night and the AMAZING support! Thank you to all the businesses and individuals for all the wonderful donations. Thank you to Best Practice for putting on a great show! Most importantly thank you to all the firefighters and their families for all the hard work that everyone put in to make this the largest fundraiser we have ever had!! We thank you all for your continued support of the Fire Department! We look forward to seeing you all this fall at our annual gun raffle event!

Saturday is the big day!! Chili starts at 4pm until gone! We will also have white chicken chili and chicken noodle soup along with roller hotdogs. We have a giant silent auction as well. Best Practice will really get the party started at 7:15pm!! Hope to see everyone there!!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Wisconsin State Fire Chief's Association has received a FEMA SAFER Grant in the amount of $1.5 million. The grant will implement a Statewide recruitment initiative that will include tv and radio advertising, social media targeting, and statewide training on the modern ways to recruit new candidates.

This past weekend, attendees at our winter conference were presented with the program and how to participate. Briefly, if you have hired a new volunteer after December 24, 2024, you may be eligible for reimbursement up to $3,000 per set of PPE. We also have funding for health screening.

The State Fire Chief's are dialed in to supporting our volunteer and combination departments who need help recruiting and maintaining firefighters.

Our annual Chili supper is less than a month away!! Going to be a great night! Saturday March 14th, Chili we be served starting at 4pm. A large silent auction will be happening. Best Practice will be starting at 7:15 and putting on an amazing show. Please stop in and help support the Cambria Community Fire Department. All funds raised towards purchasing firefighting equipment!
