The Town of Cambridge City offices have moved to Pershing in the old Western Wayne Schools' building.

We are pleased to announce that the Town of Cambridge City now has a temporary location where residents can take care of town business effective Monday, August 31, 2026.

📍 519 Queen Street, Pershing
Former Western Wayne School building

We are located on the west side of the building, up the ramp.

Our hours of operation are still the same. Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Here is where you will find:

👉 Sherry and Carreen for utility bills and other town related business
👉 Joe for public works and building permits
👉 Chief Roberts for Cambridge City Indiana Police Department business

💧 𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗬𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

We still do not have a utility payment drop box available.

At this time, payments can be made:
• In person by check
• Online at https://www.cambridgecity.in.gov/water look for DUXO

Please note that we are not accepting cash payments at this time.

We are still working on getting our phone system up and operational. You can still leave a voicemail which we’ve been monitoring.

We understand that using a temporary location and having to make arrangements for utility payments may be an inconvenience. However, this location was the best option available to us that could accommodate the needs of all of our departments while we continue working to recover and rebuild following the flood.

Most importantly, this temporary location would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community and surrounding communities.

❤️ Reid Health for donating numerous desks and pieces of office furniture.

❤️ The Town of Hagerstown, Indiana and Town of New Palestine for providing office supplies.

❤️ The Wayne County Commissioners for approving funding that allowed the Cambridge City Police Department to obtain much needed computers and office equipment.

And to many others who have donated time & resources to help us get back up and running! There are simply too many people to name, but please know that we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful.

Good morning! We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of our community as we continue serving families affected by the flooding.

As we begin today, here is an update on the items we NEED MOST and the items we currently have PLENTY OF.

Every Child Can Read has helped provide free books and programming for children at our Wayne County libraries for years.

In the wake of Dolly Parton's passing, many community members have reached out asking how they can support 𝗗𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆. We are deeply touched by that generosity.

That legacy lives on through the children who receive books each month and the community that helps make the program possible. While we mourn the loss of an extraordinary woman, we also celebrate a gift that will continue opening books, imaginations, and opportunities for generations to come.🚂📚

Today, we join millions around the world in honoring the life and legacy of Dolly Parton.

While many know Dolly as an iconic entertainer, libraries know her as one of the greatest champions of our generation has ever seen. Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped inspire a love of reading in children and families, placing books into the hands of young readers and opening doors to learning, imagination, and opportunity. The program has gifted millions of books to children around the world and has transformed countless lives through the power of reading.

At the Indiana Library Federation, we are grateful for Dolly Parton's unwavering belief that books can change lives. Her commitment to literacy, education, and equitable access to reading reflects the very values that libraries champion every day.

Her voice, generosity, and advocacy will continue to inspire readers, librarians, and communities for generations to come.

Everett won the "Most Enthusiastic Reader" award for our Summer Reading Program! This is the first year we have given out this award. We are so proud of Everett and all our readers this year!
