Good evening everyone, as you can see the page name has changed. I was not aware of "Saving Nicks" being a problem or what the original mission was. There was a post shared with me of a family member that stated they were not happy with the "Saving Nicks" mission. I'm not going into details but it was never my intention to offend anyone, especially a family member. I'm posting this so everyone can see that I'm sorry for this happening. The person never talked to me about it being a problem.
Another change will be the building color if it can survive being demolished. That apparently was not a good choice either. I know I tried to involve everyone in the process of picking colors and the teal is what came up as being popular. Again I'm not trying to be offensive in this process. I just want to save some history and add some life to town. I am sorry to those that helped choose the color.
I know this is my building and it should be my choice in what happens during the project but when family members are hurt by the choices then I need to make changes. There has to be a balance in doing a project of this size and unfortunately it's been very unbalanced so far.
In closing of 2023 I want to apologize to anyone else that I have offended this year. I know I should do this personally and will to anyone that reaches out to me. I've been trying to be as transparent as possible during this project. At any time anyone wants to know anything reach out to me,I'll try to answer the best I can. Good afternoon, I'd like to also dispel any rumors going around. If it did not come from me directly or posted on this page it more then likely isn't true. I know everyone likes to gossip but enough is enough. Take the time and come to the appeal hearings to get the facts or ask me questions. I've been very transparent and open about this project.
"They are tearing the building down". No No No, that was the decision of the board moving forward but is not a final decision. I was given the opportunity to appeal once more and have decided to do so.
The appeal process will be in front of a judge and the decision more than likely will be final from that point. Until then the building will stand as it has for the last hundred years. I am still irritated over the appeal process and do not plan to talk about it right now. I will say that there has not been an appeal like this going back to 2000.
Please, if you have any questions regarding the building I will talk about it the best I can. I will be more guarded in things that I say though as there's been stuff taking out of context before.
"The building is condemned" No. If there was an order of being condemned then I would not have been able to buy it. That would have been between the county and the borough to tear it down at that point. The building was purchased in it's current condition and I was fully aware of it. As far as the violations of the property maintenance code, I was not aware of them and it was never mentioned at the meeting when I was going to buy the building. Should it have been? I believe it should have been mentioned but never was.
"The building is dangerous" if you decide to trespass and enter the structure, yes I'm sure a rusty nail will Impall your foot or a t.v. from the 90s might fall off the shelf and hit you in the head. Don't trespass or enter the building. It's not going to fall down anytime soon.

Good afternoon, this is the only warning that you get. It is illegal to fly a drone over my building to take pictures without my permission.I have an active case with the FAA and will prosecute anyone that is caught. Thank you

Update**

Good afternoon everyone, I have lowered the goal amount to a more obtainable goal right now. I did this as we have a new plan moving forward.

So we still have to win the appeal process for this to happen. It's really important that we can come up with the funds quickly as time isn't on our side.

The new plan is going to consist of putting in cable ties and beams for support of the walls. This will ensure nothing changes to the structure as we clean it out. This will also give us support until we can build the new roof structure. Hopefully this will give us some time to get the roof on it. So that's the basic idea without all the technical stuff.
