Last evening members traveled to Girard to show our respects for the passing of A.F Dobler Hose & Ladder Company junior member Bryce Kaufmann who tragically passed away responding to a call. Many departments attended the service from all over the area. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kaufmann family, friends, and A.F. Dobler Hose & Ladder Company.

Just after 9:30 crews were dispatched to a working commercial fire in Saegertown Fire Dept. Coverage area. Engine 3-1 responded with a crew of five. Crews were met with heavy fire. Operations transitioned from interior to exterior after efforts were made but unsuccessful. Tough fire to fight but great job by all crews. Our members returned to the station and did extensive decon of gear and equipment due to chemicals being present in the structure.
I want to give a special shout out to Crawford County Scuba Team for bringing the cascade to keep our air bottles filled. They are a major asset to our county for more than just water rescue!
