Best part about our jobs? No two days look the same!

Last week, we traded the office for a canoe as we headed out onto Oxford Lake to complete water quality monitoring.

Monitoring our lakes, rivers, and streams provides valuable information that helps protect the health of Isanti County’s waters for recreation, wildlife habitat, and safe consumption. The data collected helps guide conservation efforts and ensures these resources remain healthy for future generations.

We're grateful for opportunities to get out on the water and support the important work of protecting our local natural resources!

All smiles for the 2026 Isanti SWCD Tree Sale! 🌲😊

Last week we handed out 18,000 trees that will be planted across Isanti County. These seedlings will help strengthen forests, provide habitat for wildlife, and protect the lakes and rivers we all share.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported this year’s sale, staff to every landowner and community member who purchased trees. Conservation truly happens one tree at a time. 💧🌱

Last week, we hosted our annual Agriculture Lunch ‘n’ Learn, and it was a great day of learning, connection, and good food.

We heard from amazing guest speakers who shared practical insights on nutrient management and available cost-share programs—valuable tools to support both productivity and conservation on the land.

And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a fried chicken lunch to bring everyone together around the table.
