🚨 Scam Alert 🚨

We are aware of fraudulent emails that appear to be from the County and may be targeting individuals who recently submitted applications to our Zoning Office.

In at least one case, a fake invoice on county letterhead requested payment via wire transfer. Please know: the County will never request payment by wire transfer. We will also never advise you to "respond to this email with questions". At Isanti County we welcome in-person visits or phone calls if you have questions!

If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from the County, please contact us directly before responding or making any payment. We are working diligently to prevent these incidents and appreciate the public’s help in reporting them.

Included in this post is a redacted version of what has been sent to at least one individual in the community.

Public Announcement:

Property owners who have purchased or moved into a new home within the past year and need a homestead classification have until December 31st to file the application with the Isanti County Assessor’s Office. The homestead classification affects the amount of taxes a property owner will pay in 2026 and may also affect eligibility for a property tax refund. Homestead applications are available at the Isanti County Assessor’s Office or the Isanti County website.
