The City of Cambridge's Family Policy Council began development of Find It Cambridge to connect the residents and families of Cambridge with local resources. The website, which launched in 2016, is a database with information about the programs and events offere

d by community organizations in the city; it can be used to locate classes, daycare services, after school programs, sports teams and so much more. The site's comprehensive search functionality allows users to filter resources by neighborhood, price range and age group to find the opportunities that are right for them and their families.

Department of Human Service Programs, Cambridge MA afterschool applications and re-enrollments for K-8th graders are due on Monday, May 11. Don't forget and make sure to remind family, friends, colleagues and neighbors with children!

Do you need afterschool care for your children for the 2026-2027 school year? We are accepting applications to the DHSP Afterschool Lottery through Monday, May 11! 🌈

✨ Cambridge residents who will be entering Kindergarten through 8th grade in September 2026 are eligible to apply!

Fill out our online application 💻 to apply to our four program models: Childcare Afterschool, Community Schools, King Open Extended Day (all serving K-5th graders) and Cambridge Youth Programs (serving 4-8th graders).

📆 You can get in-person help completing your application at 51 Inman St. between 4 - 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, Monday, May 4, or Monday, May 11 to get assistance from staff. No appointment needed!

Reminder: children currently enrolled in a DHSP afterschool program can re-enroll in the same program for the upcoming school year by submitting an application by the deadline.

Cambridge Teens: Apply to MYSEP by May 8!

The Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) connects Cambridge teens to a 6-week, paid summer job in Cambridge and surrounding communities. 📝👔

Teens work 20 hours a week and will be paid $15 per hour by the City of Cambridge. MSYEP offers a variety of work experiences that teens can select on their application. In addition to gaining valuable job experience, participants have access to financial literacy and job-readiness trainings, field trips, and program-sponsored social events during the summer. ✍️📖

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 🌼 On May 19th, in partnership with the Cambridge Public Health Department, Cambridge Public Library, and the Community Safety Department’s CARE Team, Find It Cambridge will participate in a community event featuring local mental health resources at the Main Branch Library (449 Broadway)! 🗺️

The event includes a panel of experts who you can ask questions to, along with tables where you can talk to staff directly. 🗣️💬 Come learn how to access support for yourself or a loved one, and what to expect when reaching out. 🤝💚 Light refreshments and limited childcare are available for those who register 👶, but registration is not required to attend.
