🚧 Road Reopened – World's End Turn 🚧

Good news! We have received notification from the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) that MD 336 at World's End Turn has reopened to all traffic.

Temporary Fire/EMS response area adjustments implemented during the closure have been removed, and normal response plans have been restored.

SHA advises that paving operations will continue on Monday with single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers. If you're traveling through the area, please expect minor delays, slow down, and watch for workers and equipment.

👏 A big thank you to SHA and their contractors for completing this project ahead of schedule and helping minimize the impact on our community. 👷🚜

🚧 Traffic Advisory – MD 336 (Lakesville Road) Closure at World's End Turn 🚧

Beginning Monday, July 6 (weather permitting), the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT) will close MD 336 (Lakesville Road) between Andrews Road and MD 335 (Golden Hill Road) for approximately 3–4 weeks to replace drainage culverts at World's End Creek.

🛣️ Detour Route
Traffic will be directed along:
➡️ Andrews Road
➡️ Robbins Road
➡️ Maple Dam Road (Marsh Road)
➡️ MD 16 (Church Creek Road)
➡️ MD 335 (Golden Hill Road)

🚑 Emergency Services
The Dorchester County Communications Division has been working closely with SHA, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and allied public safety agencies to prepare for this closure.

While emergency response plans have been adjusted to help minimize impacts, residents and visitors should expect longer travel times in and around the affected area during the closure.

If you call 9-1-1, Emergency Communications Specialists will continue sending the closest available emergency resources based on the temporary roadway conditions.

• Follow all posted detour signs.
• Slow down and use caution in the work zone.
• Remember to Move Over for emergency vehicles and highway workers whenever possible.
