What could the future of housing at 2400 Mass Ave look like?

"'The project goals so far are for 2400 Massachusetts Ave. to be mixed-use, meaning it will have ground-floor retail; that the homes will be for a mix of incomes; and include some component of affordable homeownership,' said Tom Evans, Executive Director of CRA. 'If there’s public agency involvement in the mixed-income structure and some element of control, such as homeownership, it starts to look and feel like a lot of people’s definitions of social housing,' he said."

With a background in property management and operations across Greater Boston, Colin has experience supporting affordable housing communities, luxury multifamily properties, and resident services.

At the CRA, he helps manage our real estate portfolio through property operations, tenant coordination, financial oversight, and long-term asset planning. He's passionate about housing, community development, and making complex projects run smoothly.

When he's not at work, you'll likely find him skiing, playing tennis, traveling, exploring New England with his family, or spending time with his two dogs. 🐾

Big news! The Broadway to Main Street easement through the Kendall Square Marriott reached a major milestone in its remodel. The walkway has new finishes, doors and lighting. The former Starbucks space has been renovated and is preparing to welcome a new food and beverage concept, marking a significant milestone for the property.

The next phase of construction for the easement will focus on renovations to the Marriott lobby, however the easement will remain open and accessible throughout the process.

The CRA is proud to be a part of the collaborative work on the MXD Substation Project, recognized in The Boston Globe.

This transformative infrastructure project reflects years of partnership, planning, and innovation between the CRA, Eversource, BXP, designers, planners, and public officials to help support the future growth and sustainability of Kendall Square and Cambridge.

The project demonstrates how creative problem-solving and cross-sector collaboration can help cities meet evolving infrastructure needs while supporting housing and economic development.

Construction progress continues at the 1175 Cambridge Street Neighborhood Storefront Project! 🚧

Most demolition work within the space has now been completed, and the project team has begun laying out and locating new walls throughout the storefront. Coordination for new structural footings and columns is also underway as this exciting project continues to move forward.

At the same time, the CRA is continuing to work closely with prospective tenants to help shape the future of this neighborhood-serving commercial space. We look forward to sharing more updates as progress continues!
