JUVENILE COURT WELCOMES NEW PROBATION OFFICER



Ryan Hockenberry has been hired as a Probation Officer for the Juvenile Division of the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court. Hockenberry, who began his appointment on April 13, was administered the oath by Judge David Bennett.

The Juvenile Probation Officer’s primary duty is ensuring that the juvenile offender’s charges adhere to the stipulations of the Juvenile Judge’s orders, and to help them integrate back into the community to become productive members of society.

Hockenberry is a graduate of John Glenn High School and served for four-years in the United States Marine Corps. He is also a graduate of Muskingum University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, Political Science.

Hockenberry, who resides in Cambridge, has also held past positions as an Account Management Specialist, a Teaching Assistant, and an Aviation Supply Specialist.

In his prior employment opportunities, he has shown himself to be a disciplined professional with strong leadership skills and a focus on accountability, ethics and public safety.

Judge Bennett indicated that he was pleased to have Hockenberry join the Court staff. “It is always nice to see a local young person return to the area and look to better the community.”
