Yesterday Massachusetts State Senator Sal DiDomenico toured Solutions at Work's programs in Cambridge so he could see our mission in action. Here's Senator DiDomico with Damali, who is pregnant and expecting a baby boy this summer. Solutions at Work recently gave Damali most of the baby clothes and gear she'll need to care for her son when he arrives.

If you haven't done so already, please take a few minutes to contact your State representative and senator to tell them how Solutions at Work helps homeless and low-income people reduce their reliance on public assistance and achieve lasting economic self-sufficiency. Your efforts will help Solutions at Work secure funding in the FY16 State budget. Thank you for your continued support and interest!

This June she will step out of that role to spend more time with her growing (through adoption) family, but will remain on the organization's board of directors. Please find the executive director position description below and do send qualified candidates Lauren's way. Thank you!

At our Children's Appreciation Party this past Saturday, we recognized the children who participate in our Children's Clothing Exchange and painted vases that were auctioned off at our Third Annual Gala last month. Their efforts generated $10,200 for our programs and services! Many thanks to Siobhan O'Brien for capturing the event in this video:

Take just 3 minutes...see what a change in the world you can help bring - it isn't just a fresh look....it's confidence, it's self-empowerment, it's doing something to change someone's perspective about themselves, about what they are capable of...changing the community's perspective of this person, to open their eyes and welcome this person into that community...

Solutions at Work's SolutionsWear and the Children's Clothing Exchange have the privilege of helping individuals and families experience and realize this self worth, this self awareness...help organizations like Solutions at Work empower these people and give them a new chance and a new love for themselves...it just takes a tie, a pair of shoes that no longer fit, a warm winter coat, or an outgrown suit...
