Best wishes to Lieutenant Ronald (Ronnie) W. Gomes on his retirement, effective at 0700 hours on June 3, 2026.
Ron was appointed on January 28, 1993 & served on Engine 2, Ladder 3, & Rescue 1, some of the busiest companies in the city.
Thank you for your faithful service. You were and will always be on of the best. It was an honor and a privilege to work with you!

II: Engine 2's wagon, the 1948 GMC/Robinson. Engine 2 was a two-piece company until 1988.
The 1948 wagon was in service until replaced in 1966.
