Cambridge Tree Project We are a Cambridge, Wisconsin based non-profit organization offering affordable trees and shrubs for your home.

All profits help landscape Cambridge schools, streets and parks. In 2007 we set out to donate and establish 1000 additional living trees on public property in Cambridge to mitigate the arrival of the emerald ash borer, a threat to one in five trees in our community forest at that time. Our secondary goal aimed to greatly increase the diversity of trees growing in our parks and schools and along ou

Our Story

In 2007 we set out to donate and establish 1000 additional trees on public property in Cambridge to help prepare for the arrival of the emerald ash borer, a threat to one in five trees in our community forest at that time.

Our secondary goal aimed to greatly increase the diversity of trees growing in our parks and schools and along our streets given that maple and ash trees comprised 70% of those trees. All donated trees were funded by our spring tree sales, which anyone can purchase from.

PROGRESS: Though 2020 we have added over 1000 living trees to Cambridge schools, streets and parks. Additionally, we have moved the ash/maple component of our village forest from 70% to 17%.
