Rt.50 / Greenfield rd. (Trappe)

Just after 2pm, volunteers from Rescue Fire Company were dispatched to assist Trappe Volunteer Fire Company with a serious motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and a tractor-trailer, with reports of heavy entrapment.

Rescue 1, Engine 1-3, Chief 1, and Chief 1-1 responded and assisted crews with the extrication of patients from the SUV. Due to the severity of the incident, the Shock Trauma Go-Team was activated by command but was later canceled.

Two patients were flown to regional trauma centers, while additional patients were transported to local medical facilities.

THIS COULD BE YOU!

We have another group of members who have begun their Firefighter I class. Over the next several months, these members will learn the fundamentals of firefighting, including essential skills, techniques, and fireground operations.

One common misconception is that Rescue Fire Company is a paid department. That is NOT true. RFC is a 100% volunteer fire company, and our members dedicate their own time to protect and serve our community.

Whether you have the ambition to become a firefighter, want to support fundraising efforts, or help with community events, there is a place for everyone at Rescue Fire Company.

Just before 11am, volunteers from Rescue Fire Company were dispatched to assist with a structure fire in Trappe Volunteer Fire Company’s area. The first arriving unit reported fire through the roof of a residence.

On May 30th, Rescue Fire Company volunteers continued training with new hose load configurations and a new front bumper line setup. The goal is fast, efficient deployment to get water on the fire as quickly as possible. Training and evaluation continue as we work to improve our operations and service to the community. 🚒💨
