Congratulations to all of our State 4-H Horse Show participants! Representing Hooves of Hope 4-H Club: Baylie White, Izabella Mead, Aleena Morrissey, Daisy Ross, Reagan Richards, Saylor Bright, Claire Donohue, Ellie Williams, Emma Hendricks, and Layla Hwang.
Representing Reaching for the Stars 4-H Club: Paisley Culpepper and Natilea Glaubke.
Hooves of Hope also won 1st in the large group stall decorating contest.

We had a great time last week at the 79th Annual NC 4-H Electric Congress!⚡
Youth were celebrated for their accomplishments during the award banquet on Tuesday followed by a fun night of karaoke. Wednesday we started the day off with the Energy Career Expo where youth learned about drones, robotics, VR, linemen, and a special robot dog from NC A&T and one from Duke Energy.
Youth completed an electric project kit, practicing soldering and electrical boards.
We had a relaxing afternoon tubing down the New River and ended the evening watching the Outdoor Drama: Horn in the West.

The first two weeks of summer are in the books! We had fun canoeing, fishing, and learning about macroinvertebrates. We have traveled to the Outer Banks, Merchant Millpond and Salmon Creek in Bertie County. Special shout out to Ranger Katie, Ranger Stephanie, Ranger Cody and Ranger Alan!
