📚 There’s lots to explore in Mrs. Parham’s three-year-old classroom!

From working puzzles and exploring centers to learning about the letter A, our Little Cardinals are building new skills through play and hands-on learning. They’re practicing problem-solving, fine motor skills, letter recognition, independence, and working alongside their classmates.

For our youngest learners, even the smallest discoveries are big beginnings!

✏️ Learning, creating, and exploring in Mrs. Toney’s class! Our Little Cardinals practiced writing the letter A, drew pictures, and used their imaginations during center time. They also created a class graph of their favorite colors, and blue earned the most votes! 💙

Every activity helps build early literacy, creativity, fine-motor skills, and an understanding of how numbers and graphs help us compare information.

💚 G-R-E-E-N spells GREEN!

Students in Ms. King’s class put several early learning skills to work as they learned about the color green. They colored, practiced cutting, and glued letters in order to spell the word green.

One activity, lots of learning: color recognition, letter recognition, sequencing, and fine motor practice!

🥞 Breakfast is better with buddies! Our Little Cardinals enjoyed a special morning last Thursday at ECEC’s Breakfast with Buddies.

Thank you to all our ECEC buddies, the Camden Fire Department, and the Camden Police Department for sharing breakfast, smiles, and a wonderful start to the day!

❤️ Learning to understand our feelings starts early!

Our three-year-olds in Ms. Andrews’ class talked about what it means to feel sad and drew pictures to show how sadness feels to them. Activities like this help young children recognize emotions, find ways to express themselves, and begin building important skills for understanding and managing their feelings.

At ECEC, growing hearts and minds go hand in hand.

🐥 We learned all about chickens during a visit from 4-H on Tuesday, and our Little Cardinals loved it!

Experiences like this give our students a chance to observe, ask questions, and learn about the world around them in a way they’ll remember.

A big thank you to 4-H for bringing hands-on learning to ECEC!

ECEC families — we aren’t saying you should all get our Little Cardinals a few chickens . . . but we also aren’t not saying it. 🤣

🍎 Lunchtime is another opportunity for our Little Cardinals to learn and grow!

Students in Mrs. Andrews’ and Mrs. Parham’s 3-year-old classes are building independence as they carry their own trays, make their way to the table, and enjoy lunch with their classmates. These everyday routines help them practice responsibility, patience, independence, and social skills.

A big shoutout to our ECEC cafeteria crew and K-12 Culinary Connection for serving up yummy, healthy meals for our Little Cardinals each day!

📚 Books help our youngest Cardinals learn about the world—and about themselves!

Students in Ms. King’s cass enjoyed “My Many Colored Days” by Dr. Seuss, a story that uses colors to explore different feelings and emotions. Learning to recognize and talk about emotions helps our Little Cardinals build important social-emotional skills.

Learning through play is an important part of every day at ECEC!

During center time, students in Mrs. Toney’s class explored, played, and learned alongside their classmates. They also put their creativity to work drawing pictures of their families and sharing more about the people who are important to them.
