The Camden-Wyoming Fire Company is currently on scene of an active gas leak on Park Ln just off of Voshells Mill Rd. Voshells Mill Rd is closed so please expect traffic delays in the area. There will be a strong gas odor in the area as well.

On 3/16/26 The Camden-Wyoming Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Probst Mobile Home Park off Westville Rd around 11pm for a tree into a home. Crews arrived and found multiple trees and power lines down throughout the trailer park, including some trees into the homes. No injuries were reported. Crews continue to respond to multiple other electrical emergencies throughout the district.

Governor Matthew Meyer has issued a Statewide Level 3 Driving Ban for Kent and Sussex counties beginning at 10 p.m. This state-mandated Driving Ban will remain in place to keep emergency responders and other essential motorists safe by minimizing nonessential travel during severe weather and perilous road conditions.

🚨Public Notice🚨

Fire companies in Central Kent County are currently responding to numerous calls for crude oil odors outside. The cause of this odor is believed to be due to crude oil tankers operating on the Delaware Bay. It is believed that there is no immediate danger and companies will continue to monitor the situation.
