Today, the Camden City School District was honored to welcome New Jersey Commissioner of Education, Dr. Lily Laux, for a visit to Thomas H. Dudley Family School and Octavius V. Catto Family School.

During her visit, Commissioner Laux had the opportunity to meet with student ambassadors, visit classrooms, and see firsthand the engaging teaching and learning taking place across our schools. From literacy instruction to hands-on science learning, our students proudly showcased the incredible work happening every day in Camden classrooms.

A special thank you to the students from Eastside High School’s Broadcast and Journalism program for documenting the visit through photography and media coverage. Their work not only captured memorable moments from the day but also highlighted one of the many outstanding Career and Technical Education opportunities available to our students.

Thank you to our school leaders, staff, students, and families for helping make this visit a success and for continuing to demonstrate the excellence, pride, and potential that exists throughout the Camden City School District.
