Rain or Shine, Team CCSD Shows Up!

A little rain didn’t stop members of Team CCSD from hitting the Ben Franklin Bridge for our District Bridge Walk!

Superintendent Llano joined staff for an afternoon of movement, conversation, laughter and connection outside of the workday. While the weather may have changed a few plans, those who joined us brought plenty of CCSD energy to the bridge!

Our Bridge Walk was all about wellness, team building and creating more opportunities for colleagues across the District to connect.

And yes… we’ll be back! We hope even more members of Team CCSD will join us next time.

Today, our Own Your Zone team hit the streets surrounding Veterans Memorial Family School in Cramer Hill, bringing CCSD directly into the community. From our car parade to walking the neighborhood, our team shared information, answered questions, and made sure families know that Camden City School District is ready to welcome them!

And we’re not done yet! 🎒📚

Registration is STILL OPEN for the 2026–2027 school year! If you haven’t enrolled your child yet, there’s still time to join the CCSD family.

Today, we took enrollment beyond the walls of our schools and directly into the community! 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Own Your Zone event in support of Forest Hill School and The Martha F. Wilson Early Childhood Development Center!

Our team hit the Parkside neighborhood—walking door-to-door, riding through the community, sharing information, connecting with families, and reminding our neighbors that Camden City School District is here, accessible, and ready to welcome our students.

A special thank you to Ms. Nyemah Gillespie and our Data, Accountability & Enrollment team for spearheading this initiative and bringing our District teams and community partners together to meet families where they are.

We are also grateful to our Advisory Board President and Board members for showing up and supporting this work, along with José from ImmSchools our Forest Hill and ECDC teams, District staff, community partners, and everyone who walked, rode, canvassed, and connected with families.

Parkside was our first stop, but we’re just getting started! 💙

Own Your Zone means owning this work together—school by school, neighborhood by neighborhood, and family by family.
