Congratulations on your retirement Ms. Wallace!!!

Happy Retirement to Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” Wallace!

Mrs. Jackie is retiring this year after spending 22 years and 6 months working in Kershaw County schools. She has worked at Camden Elementary, Camden High, and also substituted at Midway Elementary and Baron DeKalb Elementary.

Her coworker Ms. Truesdale said, “I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Mrs. Jackie in the classroom for the past five years. During that time, I’ve watched her love grow everyday for her students and coworkers. In our classroom, we’ve called her our ‘grandma’ because of the ways she nurtures, cares for, and truly believes in every student’s ability to succeed.”

Mrs. Jackie is also known for her sense of humor and for making her coworkers laugh until they cry! They don’t know what they are going to do without their classroom “troublemaker,” Mrs. Jackie.

She is looking forward to some time to rest and recharge during retirement.

Mrs. Jackie, we wish you well in your next Grand Adventure!

Congratulations on retirement Ms. Gantt!!!

Congratulations on retirement Ms. Gantt!!!

Happy Retirement to Ms. Shelia Gantt!

Ms. Gantt heads into a well-deserved retirement after teaching for 34 years! While the past 11 years were spent in Kershaw County School District, she previously taught for 13 years in Georgia and in other South Carolina districts, serving in a total of eight schools.

Many coworkers have fond memories of Ms. Gantt. They said, “She has been an invaluable asset to our school and first grade team. She always pushes her students to be more than they think they can be. She is so dedicated that she is usually the last one in the building — The Budd Group has been known to ‘kick her out.’ When teaching, Ms. Gantt is known to be all business, but when you get her relaxed, she will make you laugh until your stomach hurts.”

Ms. Gantt has poured into her students and coworkers for many years and has left them all with so many wonderful memories. She plans to spend lots of time with her grandbabies and relaxing!

Ms. Gantt, we wish you well in your next Grand Adventure!
