You can help meet the ongoing need for duffle bags. Help collect new, collapsible duffle bags for kids living in foster care or safe homes. Your help means each kid is provided with a new duffle and sensible means to transport their belongings to their new, safe place to live.

Foster parents serve others in one of the most special ways . You can get involved like Vivian C. and change a life.

For the last 10 years, Vivian has opened her home to young women in need of a temporary place to live.

Vivian says, “I would encourage other adults to consider fostering because it’s an opportunity to truly make a difference. You’re not just opening your home—you’re giving a young person a sense of safety, stability, and hope when they may need it most.”

Vivian serves as a positive role model, showing through her 28 years in the police department, that strength, discipline, and compassion can all go hand in hand.

Thanks to the generous donation of 75 sturdy duffle bags from the Gloucester County Education Association, kids and teens living in the care of safe homes will have a dignified way to transport their belongings.

Most young people arrive in safe housing on short notice and must carry their clothes and personal items in plastic garbage bags, adding to the stress of a traumatic situation. But now, thanks to you, kids and teens will have dignity and pride when they carry their belongings in these sturdy, wheeled duffel bags.

For someone experiencing difficult and complex emotions, therapy can be difficult, especially for children. Using art supplies as tools can facilitate the healing process and make therapy more approachable and effective.

With your donation of items like colored pencils, coloring books, construction paper, markers, and other craft supplies, you can make positive change possible for an individual on their path to healing.

Donations can be dropped off at the 1 Alpha Avenue office in Voorhees Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm.
