Kershaw County EMS extends our deepest condolences to the Columbia Police Department following the line-of-duty death of Officer Christopher M. DeLong.

Our hearts are with Officer DeLong’s family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Columbia Police Department as they mourn this unimaginable loss. We also continue to keep the injured officer, their family, and all those affected by today’s events in our thoughts.

Although our uniforms, roles, and jurisdictions may differ, those who serve in public safety share a common commitment to protecting and caring for our communities. Today, the men and women of Kershaw County EMS stand alongside our brothers and sisters at the Columbia Police Department as they honor one of their own.

Officer DeLong, thank you for your service, courage, and sacrifice. Your dedication to the community you served will not be forgotten.

Christian Church ⛪️, located in Lugoff, as a way to spread awareness and get involved with the community!
