This past week, the Camden Fire Department celebrated National EMS Week with a meal from Woods Place, provided by ProMed Ambulance. We were also joined by officers from the Camden Police Department.

National EMS Week was established in 1974 by President Gerald Ford, and recognizes first responders who provide pre-hospital emergency care. Camden firefighters are Emergency Medical Responders, Basic EMTs, Advanced EMTs, or Paramedics, who respond to all medical calls in Camden to provide care and assistance until EMS transport arrives, working side-by-side with all our fellow first responders to help provide the best possible outcome for the citizens we serve.
