Healthy Families and Communities The Hispanic Family Center of Southern New Jersey (HFC) has been providing services to the city of Camden since 1976.

Formerly known as Hispanic Family Center, Healthy Families & Communities is a bilingual human services organization offering free, comprehensive support across 14 programs at 4 locations in Camden and Gloucester counties. It began as a small advocacy organization in North Camden, and has become a comprehensive bilingual, multicultural human services organization that provides services to residents across Southern New Jersey. We have 14 programs which include:

-LifeSkills Program (substance abuse prevention program for children)
-Evergreen Family Success Center
-Evolution Family Success Center
-Domestic Violence Advocacy and Counseling (Proyecto Apoyo)

Mientras continuamos conmemorando el Mes de Concientización sobre la Violencia Doméstica, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso de crear conciencia, apoyar a los sobrevivientes y promover espacios donde la seguridad, la sanación y la esperanza sean posibles. 💜

El viernes, 30 de octubre, llevaremos a cabo nuestro Evento de Concientización sobre la Violencia Doméstica, una tarde dedicada a honrar a los sobrevivientes, reconocer a quienes los acompañan y brindar información sobre recursos y servicios disponibles en nuestra comunidad.

A través de testimonios de sobrevivientes, conversaciones sobre la defensa de los derechos de las víctimas y el acceso a recursos legales y comunitarios, buscamos fomentar una mayor comprensión y destacar la importancia del apoyo continuo a las personas y familias afectadas por la violencia doméstica.

**El Mes de Concientización sobre la Violencia Doméstica llega a su fin, pero nuestro compromiso con los sobrevivientes continúa durante todo el año.**

Giving back to those who give so much to our community! 💜

Our Evergreen Family Success Center team and participating families recently spent a meaningful day volunteering at the South Jersey Dream Center, organizing food and clothing donations to help support local families in need.

The South Jersey Dream Center has been a generous and dedicated supporter of our program, and we were grateful for the opportunity to show our appreciation by lending a helping hand.

This experience was a wonderful reminder of the importance of community partnerships, the value of giving back, and the impact we can have when we support one another.

A heartfelt thank you to the South Jersey Dream Center for all that you do for our families and community! 💜

Access to healthcare, reliable information, and community resources is essential to building healthier families and stronger communities.

At Healthy Families & Communities, we're proud to continue hosting Health & Wellness Fairs that bring valuable services and trusted community partners directly to the people we serve.

Join us tomorrow, Friday, October 16, from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, for an afternoon of health screenings, wellness information, and connections to local resources.

Learning goes beyond the classroom!

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) students took a field trip to Trenton, where they explored the New Jersey State House and the The Old Barracks.

The visit gave students an opportunity to experience New Jersey's history firsthand, learn more about state government, and connect what they've been studying in class to the world around them.

Field trips like this are an important part of our ESL/Civics Program, helping adult learners strengthen their English skills, deepen their understanding of American history and civic life, and build confidence through new experiences.

We're grateful to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development for supporting our ESL/Civics Program, administered through the Camden County College Adult Basic Skills Consortium. Their support makes educational opportunities like this possible!
