Last night I was honored to attend The Community Planning & Advocacy Council event honoring community leaders. I am proud to say a couple of my great friends were among the honorees: Commissioner Jon Young and South Jersey Transportation Authority Vice Chair Barbara Holcomb.

Earlier this week, I was honored to join Cathedral Kitchen for it's "Open House" celebrating five decades of service. For 50 years, this organization has been providing important resources and nourishment to families and individuals throughout Camden County and beyond. The work they do is important and necessary and makes such an impact on so many. Thank you, Cathedral Kitchen; our community appreciates you!

If you haven't returned your Vote by Mail ballot yet, please consider using one of Camden County's drop boxes! They are monitored 24 hours a day, so they are safe and secure and the ballots are picked up daily by a bipartisan team from the Board of Elections. In the first comment, please find a listing of all the County's drop box locations.

On Saturday, September 26th, I was glad to be in the Borough of Haddonfield to help unveil Margaret Bancroft's official historical marker. In the 1880s Margaret founded a school for children with disabilities and helped lay the groundwork for modern-day special education. She believed every student had an ability to learn and that specialized care should be given to each student based on his or her individual needs. Margaret's work deserves recognition and I'm so glad to see a marker erected in her honor. See less

For this year's Election, please consider the Camden County Government referendum on the back of your ballot. If approved, the extra penny will go toward upgrading the County's stormwater systems and cleaning up waterways for families to enjoy throughout the county. Check out this article to learn more...

Camden County voters will decide whether to increase their open space tax to contribute to a $400 million effort to improve waterways in part by fixing Camden and Gloucester sewers.
