Our mission at LCTC is to provide quality career, technical, and academic education opportunities for all learners to become contributing members of our community. The priorities established in our strategic plan center around creating a learning experience for every student that addresses aspects of college and career readiness, technical skills, literacy, and career credentials. Additionally, al
l students should have opportunities to partner with local industry leaders in order to develop professional relationships that extend beyond the classroom and graduation. While Career and Technical Education (CTE) is the foundation of our curriculum; instructors believe students should also acquire the necessary “Future-Ready” knowledge, skills, and credentials to successfully enter employment, continue their education, or enlist in the military. LCTC offers programs in the following areas; Agricultural Education, Automotive, Collision Repair, Computer Integration, Construction, Culinary Arts, Graphics, Health Sciences, Law Enforcement/CSI, Marine and Power Sports, as well as Metal Fabrication. Adults may prepare for the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), formerly called the GED, or simply refresh their basic academic skills through the Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program. Courses are offered in the areas of computers and digital media, creative arts and crafts, cooking, horticulture, fitness and recreation, motorcycle safety, trade and industrial, and marine service technician training in conjunction with Volvo Penta.
