This morning we had the privilege of celebrating some of our amazing 2nd grade students 👏🎉

For the first time this year our Leadership Team helped with the rally. We are so proud of these students for grabbing the mic and helping our Principals.

We are so proud of the students who earned awards for being Responsible Leaders; showing consistency, dependability, and setting a great example for their peers.

We also want to celebrate our Academic Leaders, who have gone above and beyond in their learning and inspired those around them with their hard work and dedication. 📚✏️

Way to go, 2nd grade! You are truly living out what it means to LOVE, LEARN, and LEAD! 💜💛

Enjoy a few photos of our awesome 2nd grade teachers playing musical chairs with a twist 😉 Ms Horning Won!

🌟Meet Our Champions of The Month

Stepping into a new classroom comes with an endless list of expectations, routines, and responsibilities. This month, we proudly recognize our first year teachers, Ms Ungashick, Ms Harrison, Ms Kays, and Ms Unger as our Champions of the Month, for the extraordinary grace, resilience, and energy, they bring to our school community every single day.

We are lucky to have each one of them at Hawthorn Elementary 💜💛

👑Homecoming Parade Day👑

Our Lakers showed up with BIG school spirit today! 🏈💜💛

Our students had a blast enjoying the Homecoming festivities, cheering on our Lakers, and showing their purple and gold pride! There’s nothing better than seeing Lakers come together to celebrate school spirit and community

Ms Doyle’s class also had a little pumpkin patch set up in front of Hawthorn this morning 🍂🎃

🌟Positive Office Referrals🌟

We celebrate students going above and beyond to make our school a better place. From lending a helping hand to making someone smile, these Lakers are showing what it means to lead by example.

💜Laker Pride in Action💛

🙌🏻We are proud of you🙌🏻

It was our 2nd graders turn to visit with the Mid County Fire Department 👩‍🚒🚒

Our students learned the importance of smoke detectors and escape routes. They learned about the fire trucks, water trucks, as well as the gear the firefighters have to wear.

We can’t thank Mid County Fire Department enough for coming out and spending the morning with our students. They all had a blast jumping through the window of the fire house and spraying the fire hose🔥

🧯Thank You! Mid County Fire Department

Jade Buschjost is our Champion of the Month for September! Jade shines as a bright role model in our classroom every single day through her dedication, positive attitude, and heart for others.

Jade comes to school ready to give 100% effort. She stays on top of all her assignments and takes great pride in doing her best work. Kindness comes naturally to Jade. She treats every classmate with respect, offers a helpful hand without being asked, and makes sure everyone feels included. She takes excellent care of her learning environment, always keeping her personal and shared spaces neat and tidy.

Jade leads by example, showing her peers what it truly means to be a stellar student and a caring friend. We are so proud to celebrate Jade as our Champion of the Month!
