Thank you to all who attended the workshop. It was definitely a great experience. There was an article in the Mountain Democrat that was very well written by Roberta Long. Please check it out. http://www.mtdemocrat.com/news/cameron-park-designs-its-future/.

Cameron Park has had a strong sense of identity since it was first envisioned by Larry and Ruth Cameron, who purchased the 5,000-acre ranch in the 1950s. If a community is defined by what it is not, you will hear residents say, “We’re not Placerville and we’re not El Dorado Hills.”

Please attend a CRITICAL BOS meeting Tuesday October 26th at 2:00 pm. The BOS will be hearing an update on the Cameron Park Drive Interchange. The Vision Statement includes an item that needs support. Specifically a BIKE/PED friendly transportation system there is more than one option that could challenge that possibility. The DRC has opposed any solution that does not consider the BIKE/PED nature of the solution.

We hope she will attend. Come and post your green dots and give us your thoughts on how we can express our sense of place.

The Buckeye report. Of particular note is the Blue Oak and Camerado reports as I do not feel it completely addresses the issue that these two schools are adjacent and share the same routes making it even more critical that the bike and ped paths (especially along Merrychase are addressed.
