The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Black Bayou Pontoon Bridge on LA 384 (Big Lake Road) is closed until further notice to vehicle and marine traffic due to a vessel impacting the bridge. DOTD will issue updates as bridge conditions change.

UPDATE: The Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office advises that one lane of travel on LA 27 between Little Chenier Road and the Gibbstown Bridge has reopened. Traffic is being routed through a single lane, and delays are expected. Motorists are urged to use caution and allow additional travel time while traveling through the area.
