A hayride from Cheniere Energy to the historic Sabine Pass Lighthouse. Guest will have the chance to see the tower and tour the grounds.

We had a great day hosting Cameron Paris 4-H nature navigators! It was a day of learning, exploration, and connecting with the incredible environment that makes Southwest Louisiana so special.

They got an up-close look at the Southwest Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges Complex. They learned all about:
• The unique refuge ecosystems that protect our coast
• The migratory and resident bird species that call our wetlands home
• The diverse wildlife thriving throughout Cameron Parish
• The rich history and traditions of our beautiful Cajun Country

This past week, we welcomed students from Mississippi State University to Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge for an overview of the refuge system and the management practices we use to conserve wildlife and habitat. During their visit to the area, students also spent time exploring Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge and White Lake Conservation Area.

Thank you to the Mississippi State students and faculty for taking the time to visit Cameron Prairie! We hope you had a great trip and enjoyed learning more about Louisiana’s incredible natural resources! 🐊
