The Rockdale Substation of the Milam County Tax Office will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, March 13 and 14.

2023 taxes become DELINQUENT on February 1, 2024. Reminder that the Milam County Tax office accepts a US postmark. Payment should be postmarked January 31, 2024. We do not accept a postage meter postmark.

Tax office in Cameron : office hours 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The Rockdale substation is open on Wednesday , January 31 from 8 to 12 and from 1 to 4. The Cameron location has a dropbox located at the front door of the annex. Please note that there are two cameras that will mark date and time when payment is dropped in dropbox. No cash in dropbox.

Also note that if you qualify for Quarter pay, 1st payment is due January 31, 2024.

FYI - since December 31 falls on a Sunday and Monday, January 1 we are closed for County New Year’s Holiday; we will be posting walk in payments on January 2 as being paid on December 31, 2023. We also accept US postmarks .

The Rockdale office will close at noon and the Cameron office will close at 1:00, Wednesday, November 22 and both offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24 for Thanksgiving.

After much prayer and consideration, I have decided not to seek re-election to the Office of Milam County Tax Assessor-Collector. I have been asking myself what is important in my life and I realized that I was putting my job first. It is time I put my life back on track: GOD First, Family Second and everything else will follow.

I thank God for leading me to this adventure and for helping me through it. It has been my honor to represent the Taxpayers of Milam County for the past 8 years. I have accomplished more than I thought possible with the help of my wonderful staff, my second family: love you. To all the county offices and entities: It has been an honor to work with each of you and I will cherish the friendships I have made along the way. I thank my Family for putting up with all the late nights, all the times I worked weekends and for being my support system throughout this adventure.

I will retire sometime in late 2024. This is not the end, it’s the beginning of a new adventure.
