The Cameron Police Department would like to remind citizens that any person conducting door-to-door solicitation within the City of Cameron is required to have a valid permit issued by the city.

Please keep the following safety tips in mind:

• Ask to see the individual’s city-issued permit.
• Do NOT allow anyone to photograph your driver’s license or personal information.
• Contact the company’s official corporate number to verify the individual’s credentials and employment.
• Never feel pressured to make immediate purchases or provide sensitive information.

If you observe suspicious persons or activity in your neighborhood, please contact the Cameron Police Department immediately.
