The West Cameron Port is situated as the port of entry to the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Southwest Louisiana. It is located on the Gulf of Mexico with the Calcasieu Ship Channel, the East Fork, and the Cameron Loop all located within its territorial limits. The territorial limits encompass Wards 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The Port is a major support contributor with a direct link t

Two major LNG interests are currently located on waterways within the port with others in permitting stage. Primary cargo that flows through the port, much of which arrives or departs from the port’s territorial jurisdiction are: Baroid, Coal, Sweet and Sour Crude, LNG (expected to start within the District in 2015 at the Cheniere Sabine Pass LNG facility in Johnson Bayou, LA), Bulk Grain, Rice, and other support products for the petrochemical and oil and gas industry.

Today is World Nature Conservation Day, a reminder that protecting the places we love begins with each of us. 🌎🌿

Along the Creole Nature Trail All-American Road, wetlands, wildlife habitats, beaches and waterways create an unforgettable landscape while supporting countless species and communities across Southwest Louisiana.

You can help preserve these natural treasures by leaving no trace, properly disposing of waste, respecting wildlife from a safe distance and leaving plants, shells and other natural objects where you find them.

Small actions today can make a lasting difference for generations of explorers to come. 💚

It was an honor to hear from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson this morning. His message reaffirmed the enduring values of faith, freedom, personal responsibility, and the Constitution—the principles upon which our great nation was founded and continues to thrive. Proud to stand for those ideals.🇺🇸🇺🇸
