In the Air Last Night - Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh reports that Air1 rescued 2 Syracuse University students yesterday evening in Highland Forest.

At about 5:35 PM last night, Lindsey Updake (18) of Guilford Connecticut and Nicolas Canesi (19) of Franklin Massachusetts were hiking in Highland Forest and became lost in the woods in the southern portion of the forest. They called 911 on their cell phones and were connected to the Cortland County 911 Center. The hikers advised 911 that they were lost and had become stuck in mud. The 911 center notified Onondaga County Park Rangers who were able to identify the location of the hikers. Air1 responded to the area and located the trapped hikers. Air1 landed, retrieved the hikers, and transported them to a safe area. The hikers were then transported by Park Rangers to Skyline Lodge.

There were no injuries reported.

In The Air Last Night - Air1 was dispatched by the Clearinghouse to a reported motorcycle 80 in the C/Auburn. Air1 landed in the Holiday Inn parking lot and met TLC ambulance. A 40's male with leg and chest injuries was loaded, then transported to Upstate Hospital.

In The Air Last Night - Air1 was dispatched by the Clearinghouse to Pulaski for medevac transport for the victim of a motorcycle accident.
Air1 transported the 51 year old male to Upstate Hospital for treatment of head injuries.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 was dispatched by the Clearinghouse to the Oneida County Town of Lee Center regarding a medevac. Upon arrival at the landing zone, Stokes Elementary school, Air1 medical crew met with Delta Lake ambulance. The victim was a late teens male believed to have been involved in a car vs pedestrian. The victim was loaded onto Air1 and transported to Upstate with massive head and internal injuries.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 was requested by Fire Control to assist them in locating an ATV accident in a field off Rt 91 and Coleman Hill Rd, T/Pompey. While enroute, Air1 was advised that the accident was located and that due to the location, they requested a medevac. Air1 landed at the scene, then transported a 50's female with non-life threatening injuries to Upstate Hospital. NYSP is investigating the accident.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 assisted Patrol on a search for a missing teen after he fled a field party in the T/Onondaga. The teen became lost and disoriented. Patrol was able to make phone contact with him, and Air1 eventually able to locate him in a wooded, swampy area. Air1 directed Patrol and fire units to the teen, who then escorted him out.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 was dispatched by the Clearinghouse to assist Jefferson County on a medivac. Air1 responded to the T/Adams Highway garage and met Gilfoyle ambulance and a 20's female victim of a car vs pedestrian. Air1 transported the victim to Upstate Hospital with a head injury.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 assisted Cicero PD with the search for a subject who, while high on he**in, fled the scene on foot into a wooded area. Air1 located the suspect and directed Cicero PD units to his location where he was taken into custody without incident.

In the Air Last Night - Air1 was dispatched by the Clearinghouse to the City of Oswego for a pedestrian/bus MVA. While enroute, the landing zone was moved to the K-Mart Plaza in the City of Fulton. Air1 transported a 22 year old male victim to University Hospital for chest injuries and a broken leg.
