Our June Calendar is here! We are excited to begin the transition into our summer programming, where we will often be outdoors and exploring our local and regional cultural spots and happenings. Check out what we have coming up and be sure to RSVP as our summer programming is popular and spots can fill up quickly. Events of note would include a Tinker Falls hike, our Summer BBQ, downtown excursions, Kayaking, and more. Please observe that the Tinker Falls date was swapped with Thursday's Building hours and appears differently on the mailer. The new date for Tinker Falls is June 4th.

Don't forget that our building will be open to the community during the Summer Kickoff Village Block Party on May 30th! Come check out our facility, shoot pool, and enjoy live music from 11-3. Info is included in the flier below. See you there!

SATURDAY, MAY 30th, The Town Shop will open our doors to the community during the Summer Kickoff Village Block Party. Feel free to stop in for Billiards, Foosball, live music, and tours of our facility. We will be open for the duration of the event. Musicians spotlighted will be two acoustic acts, starting the event will be Ryan Matthew from West Genesee High School, and ending with Leigh Marie, a talented local singer-songwriter.

There will also be music by the Ginger Roots in front of 61 Main, so come by and check them out, as well as the fantastic local vendors participating in the event.

We are excited to announce an Enchanted Forest Water Safari trip in July, plus our Whale Watch dates and an additional Backwoods Camping experience in September. We are also extremely grateful for the many young people and parents who came out to support our Earth Day efforts on Saturday! This year's Earth Day Celebration was the biggest we have seen in decades. We sent 34 young people and volunteers out into the village for a much needed cleaning, collected over 30 contractor bags full of litter, and hosted five incredible youth bands to wrap the evening up.

Don't miss our Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 18th! This year's Earth Day will include our traditional village clean-up and volunteer lunch in addition to a youth-led music event to close out the day. Included in the line-up of bands is the Fayetteville School of Rock's house band, who we are SO excited to host for the music portion of the event.

Clean-up will begin at 10:30 AM and end around 12:00 PM for our volunteer lunch. Equipment such as gloves, pickers, and bags will be provided. Music will kick off at 1:00 PM and run until 4:00 or until the last band finishes performing.

We encourage anyone in the community with an interest in volunteering for the clean-up or questions about the event to reach out to us by calling or texting 315-748-6295, or by emailing [email protected]. We will feed our volunteers around noon, and young people who sign up early will receive a special Earth Day t-shirt. Remaining t-shirts will be distributed with limited sizes, first come first serve to volunteers who decide to join us without RSVP. All are welcome!

A special thanks to the Camillus Police Benevolent Association, Solvay Bank, and the Camillus Methodist Church for their generous contributions to this event, as well as the Village of Camillus for collaborating with us in our mission to keep our roadways and natural spaces clean and safe from harmful litter.

Happy Spring fellow Earthlings! We are excited to announce our April schedule, which includes our annual Earth Day village Clean-up. Since 1971, our program has organized an Earth Day clean-up every year. This means we have been picking up litter in Camillus for as long as Earth Day has existed!

Last year, we increased our offering for Earth Day to include a youth-led music event to close out the day, which we are excited to repeat this year. We encourage anyone in the community with interest in volunteering for the clean-up to reach out to us using the phone numbers on our calendar. We will feed our volunteers around noon, and young people who sign-up early will receive a special Earth Day t-shirt. Music will start at 1 pm, and ends at 4. We will announce the line-up next week!

In addition to this exciting announcement, we were honored to receive a Special Event Award
for our 2025 Earth Day celebration from the CNYRPS during last Friday's award banquet. We hope to continue growing this event every year to help bring more excitement around improving our roadways and ridding our local ecosystems of harmful litter.

Our birthday month is finally here! 🎂 The Town Shop Youth Center is turning 55 years old, and to celebrate, we are hosting an anniversary music event on March 6th featuring bands such as Trilith, Faceplatter, Fantasia, and an acoustic set by Ryan Matthews. Doors will open at 5:00, Music at 5:30. Desserts and refreshments will be served!

We are also excited to announce we will be hosting a Town Shop Open Mic on the 20th, an 80s-themed late night (5-11 PM), and a book binding workshop on the 16th.
